SEA SALT

Unlike typical table salt, which is mined from underground deposits, sea salt is produced through evaporating ocean water. This unique source and process leaves behind certain trace minerals, which in turn add more flavor and texture to the salt.

STEVIA

A naturally occurring sweetener and sugar substitute, stevia is a green, leafy plant native to South America. Stevia extract carries a sweetness up to 150x sugar! Its negligible effect on blood glucose has made it a favorite sweetener for carb-sensitive dieters.

ERYTHRITOL

This sweetener occurs naturally in many fruits and fermented food products. It’s 70% as sweet as traditional sugar, but at .2 calories per gram (1/20th of sugar), it’s effectively calorie free! And because erythritol can’t be metabolized by the bacteria in your mouth, it doesn’t contribute to tooth decay.

SUCRALOSE

Sucralose is a non-caloric sweetener up to 600 times as sweet as sugar! Because of it’s nominal effects on insulin, it has been approved by the American Diabetes Association for all three types of diabetics. Sucralose is incredibly stable, even at high temperatures, which makes it great for baking.

THE POWER OF PROTEIN

We source our proteins (whey isolate, milk isolate, and micellar casein) from all across the globe. It comes from the highest-quality milk available in the U.S., Europe, and New Zealand (to name a few). The precise filtration and separation process that is used yields some of the most powerful protein blends on the market. Just check the P/Cal (percentage of calories that come from protein) on your favorite Quest product!

SOLUBLE CORN FIBER

Fiber is the basic building block of most plants and has incredible benefits for human metabolism. Soluble corn fiber is our latest innovative ingredient, but it should NOT be confused with high fructose corn syrup! While no type of fiber is actually digested in your body, the United States FDA still mandates listing it as carbohydrates. Instead, soluble corn fiber is fermented by the bacteria in your gut and turned into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which are then absorbed while passing through the large intestine, which is why they don’t count toward your Net Carb total. A growing body of scientific research has affirmed numerous health benefits associated with SCFAs. Read more in the link below!

ALMONDS, PEANUTS, CASHEWS

Nuts are full of protein and clean fatty-acids, plus they’re pretty darn tasty. We use peanuts, cashews, and almonds for a variety of flavors, textures, and macronutrients.

PALM OIL

An edible oil that comes from the pulp of palm trees, harvested from RSPO-approved sustainable sources. The beneficial fats in palm oil are more stable than those of other vegetable oils such as corn, canola, safflower, sunflowers, or soybeans. It can withstand extremely hot temperatures and resists oxidation. No Trans Fats in here!

THICKENING AGENTS (GUMS)

These natural binding agents give our bars and inclusions their perfect texture. Unlike the gum you chew on, think of thickening agents as gigantic, microscopic nets, serving as a stabilizing system for many categories of food. Other common uses of thickening agents can be found in yogurts, jams, and jellies. Between bars and inclusions, we use a combination of cellulose and xanthan gums.

CALCIUM CARBONATE

A mineral that helps with taste and texture, plus contributes toward your daily calcium intake.

AND OTHER NATURAL FLAVORS!

We use real food to flavor our products: real cocoa powder, real dried fruits, natural spices, and extracts.

CORN STARCH

Not to be confused with corn syrup, corn starch is a gluten-free texturing agent that comes from the same source as our soluble corn fiber.

HIGH OLEIC SUNFLOWER OIL

This specific sunflower oil is an ideal texturing and binding ingredient, as it contains none of the harmful trans fats commonly associated with other vegetable oils. “High oleic” (high in monounsaturated fats) ensures a longer shelf life for our products.

PSYLLIUM HUSK

A fiber comprised of seeds form the Plantago ovata plant. It’s water-retentive spongy composition helps reduce appetite, improves digestion, and cleanses the digestive system.

CALCIUM CARBONATE

A mineral that helps with taste and texture, plus contributes toward your daily calcium intake.

REAL SEASONINGS AND OTHER NATURAL FLAVORS!

We use real food to flavor our products: real onions, real cheese, natural spices, and extracts.

Other common uses of thickening agents can be found in yogurts, jams, and jellies. Across our delicious flavors, we use a combination of cellulose, xanthan, and carrageenan gums.

SUNFLOWER LECITHIN

A substance found in all living things that adds to the tremendous solubility of our powders. How important is lecithin? Well, it makes up a third the mass of your whole brain! Containing more health benefits than we could possibly list here, our lecithin is cold pressed from sunflower seeds, not soy, so it has no hormonal response.
